The rumors are true! Aquent is awarding five $5,000 grants to not-for-profits and charities in order to support their design work
Design for Good is Aquent’s way of empowering the design-minded folks we love so dearly so they can make a bigger difference in the world.
If you have a cause near and dear to your heart and a great idea on how design would help that cause get the word out, then this is perfect for you.
All you need to do is create a brief video to talk about your cause and how you’d use design to help it gain more visibility.
If you’re stuck for ideas, here are a few to get you started:
- Building an online campaign to fight child hunger
- Producing videos to help a dog shelter
- Teaching a design enrichment class at a local school
- Designing a better website for a food bank
- Teaching the basics of coding to at-risk teens
Don’t worry, you don’t need an actual DESIGN to get involved - just a great idea that you feel needs funding to help a cause that is important to you.
To award the top ideas, Aquent has brought on five esteemed judges (including the Head of Content, Culture, and AI Design at Capital One and the Senior Director of Design and Technical Strategy at Isovera) who will choose from all the video submissions. The top 5 entries will each receive $5,000 grants to help make your project a reality.
But you better get cracking, because submissions are due by January 20, 2017!
Just hop over to the Design for Good site.
Best of luck!
